Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the website design, hosting and related services ("Services") provided by Target Student Media Ltd, trading as Sole Trader Websites ("we", "us", "our"), Company No. 8679918, registered office 476 St Albans Rd, Watford, WD24 6QU, UK. By submitting an enquiry or engaging us to provide the Services, you ("you", "the Client") agree to these terms.

1. Our services

We design, build and host websites for sole traders and small businesses in the UK, with optional AI features, as described on our pricing page. Package inclusions, setup fees and monthly fees are as set out at soletraderwebsites.co.uk/#pricing at the time of your order, or as otherwise agreed with you in writing.

2. Getting started

After you submit an enquiry, we will contact you to confirm your requirements before any work begins. Work starts once you've agreed a package with us and provided the business details, content and images we need. Typical turnaround is around 7 days from receiving everything we need, though this may vary depending on how quickly you provide content and feedback.

3. Fees and payment

Packages consist of a one-off setup fee and a recurring monthly fee covering hosting, maintenance and support (and, where applicable, AI features), as shown on our pricing page. Fees are payable as agreed at the time of order. We reserve the right to change our pricing for new orders at any time; any change will not affect the price of a package you have already agreed with us.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your ongoing monthly service at any time by giving us at least 30 days' written notice by email. The one-off setup fee is non-refundable once work has begun. We do not offer refunds for monthly fees already paid, but no further monthly fees will be charged once cancellation takes effect.

5. Ownership

Once you have paid the setup fee in full, the design and content produced specifically for your website is yours. We are happy to transfer your domain and website files to you or a new provider if you choose to leave, provided your account is fully paid up.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate business information, and for ensuring you have the right to use any content, images or logos you supply to us. You're responsible for how your website content complies with any laws or advertising standards relevant to your business.

7. Liability

We aim to keep your website online and functioning correctly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any loss arising from the Services is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
